This is the home of the freechart mailing list. A list dedicated to beginner designers wanting to share their patterns for free. With all the hub bub of copyrights going around I decided to make a legitament group where we can share patterns. Our own original designs of course. I fully support the practice of sharing patterns but we are forced to abide by the law and that is why no copyrighted patterns are allowed to be sent through the list. There are books out there that allow you to make patterns from their images and one such book is called The Garden Patch by Grace Publications. That is where some of my designs will be coming from along with ones I have solely created on my own. Here is the copyright notice found in The Garden Patch for those of you who question it.
Business or commercial use of these patters or instructions or products made thereof, is prohibited.  No instructions, photographs or patterns contained in the publication may be reproduced (except for personal use) or duplicated mechanically without written permission of the publisher, except by a reviewer, who may quote brief excerpts.  It is permissible for an individual to paint these designs and sell them at bazaars or crafts shows It says paint in this statement but on the inside cover it also says enlarge or reduce, decorate, adapt and create for wood, fabric, canvas, felt, plastic canvas, posterboard, paper, shrink art plastic and more.  So as long as I don't copy actual pages from this book I can use the designs for whatever I want.  Just in case you wanted to know LOL.
